Nikon D7500

Nikon D7500 Camera Review

Recently, Nikon released the D7500 camera. Is it a good buy for you?

The Nikon D7500 is an upgrade from its predecessor, the D7200. It comes with many new features and better specifications compared to the earlier model. If you’re familiar with using DSLR cameras, then this specific model should all be very easy for you to use and learn about because of that reason. If you aren’t familiar with using DSLR cameras and their respective buttons and interworking mechanisms, then I would suggest first taking some time to learn how each feature works before trying to use them as intended.

Overview of the Camera

The Nikon D7500 is a very well-built camera. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy; it’s made with high-quality materials that can withstand the test of time (if taken care of properly). The size is perfect too – not too big nor too small, making it ideal for travel or just everyday use. One complaint I’d have about the build quality would be that the lens mount feels kind of loose when attached to any lens you put on. But this isn’t much of an issue because the lenses stay in place despite feeling extremely light without them connected.

The camera’s display screen is big enough to get a proper view of the subject you’re photographing. It would be preferred if the display was made with higher quality materials (rather than plastic) but I guess that would push up the price which is why it isn’t. The menu system works well and doesn’t feel too complicated or difficult to learn how to use at all.

The Nikon D7500 has the usual several modes for you to choose from while taking photographs. These include expert, advanced, basic, night portrait, landscape/portrait, sport, close-up macro mode, and more! You can also change certain aspects of each mode to better suit your needs such as changing the ISO speed settings.

You can use automatic settings with this camera, which takes all of the thinking out of photography. Or if you feel more adventurous and need that extra kick to take an amazing photograph, then you have the manual settings at your disposal as well. The photos look good in the sense that they aren’t too sharp nor too blurry – they look realistic in a way.

This camera comes equipped with Wifi capabilities which are very useful for when you’re out and about or want to transfer a photo from your camera onto a different device.

The company has been making quality cameras for decades now so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that their newer models work just as well (if not better). This one is no exception.

A decent camera I must say; it has its ups and downs, but the pros outweigh the cons in my opinion.

The Good Parts

The Nikon D7500 is a camera with plenty of advantages. One of them is the fact that it takes beautiful pictures in comparison to any other DSLR camera on the market today. You can even set it up to take some great landscape shots if you know what you’re doing. Another thing that makes this camera awesome is its video recording capabilities. The D7500 gives you the option to shoot 1080p footage at 60 FPS, which allows for some pretty good-quality videos if you have the right settings enabled.

Not so Good Parts

I personally don’t have many negative things to say about this camera because it really is one of the best DSLR cameras on the market today. However, I will mention that there are certain features that could use some improvement in order to make them better than they already are; these include autofocus functionality and battery life – But even with its shortcoming, it’s still a great buy!

Key Features of the D7500

• Excellent camera, one of the best on the market today.

• Large APS-C CMOS sensor with a resolution of 20 megapixels.

• Uses a Nikon F mount that supports Full-Frame lenses and DX lenses.

• Can shoot 1080p videos at 60 FPS – Great for video recording!

• Continuous shooting speed of up to seven frames per second in normal mode, and as fast as nine frames per second in continuous AF mode.

• 3.2-inch touch-sensitive LCD screen, just like the D500 model.

Advantages of the Nikon D7500

• Amazing picture quality – As good as any DSLR camera on the market today!

• Great video recording capabilities with Full HD 1080p @ 60 FPS videos. I also love its autofocus functionality during video recording. It works really well most of the time!

• Has a very precise autofocus capability in comparison to other cameras at this price range. This makes it ideal for taking pictures quickly, especially if you’re using it for sports and action photography (even though I don’t really recommend it).

Disadvantages of the Nikon D7500

The Pros outshine the Cons by a long shot!

• If you’re looking for a camera with an even better autofocus feature, I would recommend you check out the D500 model from Nikon. Although it’s slightly more expensive than the D7500 model, it still is worth every penny. It has amazing video recording capabilities too – just like the D7500!

• If you’re not into taking videos or pictures of sports and action, then this shouldn’t be much of an issue. Also, if you’re not interested in taking action shots at all, then there really isn’t any reason why this should be your only buying condition when deciding on whether to buy this specific camera or not. Just ignore that aspect of it since its disadvantages are pretty insignificant if you’re not looking to take videos or pictures of sports and/or action.

Handling and Built of D7500

• Good build quality (though the lens mount feels a bit loose when attached to any lens)

• Responsive 3.2-inch touch-sensitive LCD screen with 1,040K dots.

• Excellent picture and video recording capabilities. It can even capture great photos in low-light conditions!

• It’s very simple to use for beginners, but also has all the features I needed in order to build my skills as a photographer.

• Amazing autofocus capability.

• It has some pretty amazing capabilities for video recording, which you can find more about on the official Nikon D7500 product page.

Price of D7500

The Nikon D7500 is a bit on the expensive side, especially if you’re getting it as your first DSLR camera. However, I’d say that it’s not too expensive and definitely worth every penny (and it’s affordable). If you’re already an experienced photographer and know how to take great action shots like a pro, then this should be one helluva good buy for you!

Verdict

If you’re looking for an amazing DSLR camera, then look no further than the Nikon D7500. It really has all the features you’ll probably ever need in order to take great pictures and videos. The autofocus functionality works amazingly well too which is another plus point if you’re interested in taking action shots or recording high-quality videos! If you’re not that into sports and action photography though, then this might not be your best choice. Also, I’d suggest getting it as your second DSLR since it’s quite expensive (not saying that it won’t be worth every penny). All in all, though, the pros definitely outweigh the cons – making its price tag totally worth it! Plus, once you’ve bought it (and used it for a while), you’ll see that it’s easily one of the best DSLR cameras you can buy!
